I am a full time Realtor who works hard to bring energy, integrity, and a bit of humor to every aspect of your real estate transaction. Meeting new people and working to earn their loyalty and trust are what I enjoy most about my business. I focus on customer service, always striving to remove the stress out of the process for my clients and guide them into making wise choices for a successful transaction. I was born and raised on a farm right here in the Ames area and am a graduate of Iowa State University. I can credit the values instilled in me by my parents and growing up on a working farm as being vital to my professional career. Honesty and integrity coupled with hard work and a dedication to customer service are the cornerstones of my business.
My husband, Tim, and I are raising four children; Mason, Elise, Tate and Hank. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and watching my children participate in their many activities, including high school and college level athletics, and of course, I love to cheer on the Cyclones. I have a passion for decorating and design and offer these talents to my clients as an extra benefit to my sellers. I love my work and measure my success by the families that come back or refer me to their own friends and family.
Central Iowa native & Iowa State graduate. After graduating he became a licensed Real Estate Agent assisting buyers and sellers throughout the state. He still calls central Iowa home and has an active role in his family’s farming operation. Outside of real estate, Travis enjoys hunting, farming, golfing, cooking, and spending time with his daughter.
I am very passionate about the Real Estate world and enjoy helping people find a home that meets their dreams, wants, and needs. I grew up in Marshalltown and moved to Ames to attend college at Iowa State University. I have lived in Kelley Iowa for the past 15 years and enjoy the small-town living. I currently own one big dog and hope to add another in a few years.
Describe your first home:
My first home was a townhome. It was a great first home for me and I loved the experience I had being able to decorate it how I wanted to for the first time. It was nice having all the lawn care and outside maintenance taken care of for me and left me more time to go out and do things for fun.
What’s your favorite thing about your personal home?
I love living in a small town but close to the city where I can get all my shopping needs taken care of easily too. My home sits next to a corn field and so I love not having any homes behind me. I am able to sit out in my backyard on my deck and look out in the field. I also love that I can walk my dog through the whole town twice and feel very safe doing it.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy spending time with friends, family, attending music concerts, traveling, spending time with my dog (my child), drinking coffee, and watching scary movies. I also enjoy working out at the gym 5-6 days per week to help me feel energized and healthy.
What drew you to the real estate industry?
I have watched the Iowa Realty Show since I was in high school nearly every single Sunday on TV. Since then I have always had a passion for going through homes. I believe this really helped me understand the pricing of homes, quality of homes, knowledge of builders, and helped me keep up with the market. I also enjoy the negotiating process involved in buying and selling a home. The buying and selling process is a stressful experience and having a Real Estate Agent involved is vital in helping it be as smooth as possible.
